Though Nintendo isn’t following the same road to next gen its competitors have, it’s truly constantly reinventing the way people play video games. The video above is footage of a Nintendo DS game called M-06, which turns the DS into a guitar simulator. Like most of Nintendo’s upcoming titles, M-06 is meant to be intuitive, and playable by anyone — offering a tutorial mode for beginners, and an advanced mode for advanced players.
M-06 uses the Nintendo DS’ top screen to show you which notes you have to hit and what motions you need to make, while the bottom screen lets you pick the right note and strum the corresponding motion. Really cool idea, especially if the M-06 lets you pick a key and freestyle. Too bad the game is a Japanese title, we may never see it here in the states.
