Sony Says: You'll Get Composite And Like It

If you had plans to pick up a PS3, run home and connect it to your HDTV for some high-def Blue-ray and/or gaming good times, make sure you pick up an HDMI or component cable before you leave the store. That’s right, Sony’s only including a composite cable in the box with the PS3. According to a report on IGN, “purchasers of either the 60 Gig or 20 Gig models will get a power cord, USB cable, ethernet cable and standard composite AV cable.” At least, that’s what turned up in the Japanese version. However if you’ve got cables from your PS2, the PS3’s multi-output interface will accept them.
