These 16GB flash drives aren’t the ones that go into a solid state laptop. These are the little thumb sticks you carry around in your pocket with all your midterms and writeups. Toshiba will release 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 16GB sizes of these TransMemory U3 series flash drives.
You can pick up your 16GB monster in December through Toshiba’s online shop. The other sizes can be purchased in late November. They can also support a password-based protection software available directly from Toshiba, so you don’t lose all your precious data to some sticky-fingered punk at the Internet Cafe. And with 16GB of space, there’s going to be a LOT of data.
