More Buttons by Logitech

Logitech announced additions to their Cordless Desktop line-up. These new models will streamline the use of searching applications, images, and internet phone calls.

The Logitech EasyCall Desktop will enable the user to effectively take internet phone calls at the PC without extra hardware. Utilizing a speakerphone and headset, this package reduces echoes and unwanted noise from the user’s conversations. The full-duplex speakerphone acts as a control station, with volume up and down, mute, call pick-up, and call hang-up buttons. The cordless design lets the user freely place their peripherals where they please and the keyboard has a communications panel for streamlined internet application access, enabling the user to easily change their online status and make/accept calls. And we all know, what is a phone system without speed dial? This has that—too!—and the buttons are integrated right onto the keyboard! This Logitech package is designed to work with any of the top internet calling applications (Yahoo Messenger Voice, AIM, and Skype).

The next package is the Cordless Desktop MX 3200. This model is not only compatible with Windows XP but will function efficiently with the upcoming and long awaited Windows Vista. Streamlining desktop searching and image manipulation, this mouse and keyboard sport various search/zoom buttons to easily navigate digital content. Ever get tired of using ALT+TAB? Well this keyboard hosts a button that will allow multitasking by the simple pressing of it to sort through different applications.

And if you thought two choices of keyboards and mice wasn’t enough you’ve got the Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 710 Laser is the last addition to Logitech’s Cordless Desktop series today. Ever get frustrated while editing an image, trying desperately to erase those pesky pixels? Well never fear, Logitech’s superior laser tracking technology allows users to edit images with pixel precision. One touch controls are provided upon the keyboard (launch photo application, rotate pictures, zoom in and out). A media panel is also there to efficiently navigate your music archive.

The LX 710, MX 3200, and EasyCall will be available mid-August at $79.99, December 2006 at $99.99, and mid-September at $129.99, respectively.
