Dell is an American multinational computer technology company founded by Michael Dell in 1984 as PC’s Limited. In 1986, Michael Dell brought in Lee Walker, a venture capitalist, to serve as president and CEO. The company changed its name to Dell Computer Corporation in 1988.

Dell develops, sells, repairs and supports computers and related products, including servers, data storage devices, network switches, software, HDTVs, cameras, printers, MP3 players and other electronics. Dell also provides Internet technology services, and has acquired storage and networking systems in order to deliver complete technological solutions.
