The thin and light Dell Vostro V130 comes in multiple colors (including red) and weighs in a 3.5 lbs. What’s under the hood? An HDMI port, two USB port, and a Core i3 or i5 ULV processor. I know, right? It supports WiMAX, Bluetooth, and WiFi.

Best of all, it uses Intel’s “hyperbaric” cooling, presumably a fanless solution to keep this thing nice and icy when it’s on your lap. It starts at $429 and is available now.

So you’re hopping on a flight and you sit next to a sexy member of the opposite sex. Dell Vostro V13 takes styling cues from Adamo, but not the high price tag

Oh boy, take a look at this. Dell’s apparently porting the whole super slim Adamo idea to its more affordable line of Vostro business machines.

Case in point, the Vostro V13, a soon-to-be-officially-announced 13-inch notebook that’s just 0.65 inches thick and weighs less than 3.5 pounds. Best of all, there’s loose talk that pricing will start at $450. If that turns out to be true, this is going to be interesting to watch develop.

There’s a product page up over on Dell’s Singapore site and here’s a marketing video that finds Dell’s Sam Burd talking about the V13.

According to the product page, specs include the following:

No word on when this will launch in the US, but the guy in the video seems to allude to an announcement in the near future. CES is a possibility.

Dell Vostro A90 available — it's like a Dell Mini 9 except it says Vostro A90 instead

You’re a serious business person who needs a serious, um, netbook like the Dell Vostro A90. You can’t show up to a sales pitch with a weiner-ish sounding Dell Mini! There’s nothing mini about your can-do attitude and proven track record. The Dell Vostro A90 may simply be a Dell Mini 9 in sell-the-sizzle black but in this tough economy, image matters more than anything when it comes to your bottom line.

Seriously, though, the Dell Vostro A90 is now available. It’s a Dell Mini 9 with a black-on-black motif, available in two models: a $349 version with 512MB of RAM and a 8GB SSD and a $424 version with double the RAM and double the hard drive. Each comes with a nine-inch LCD, 1.6GHz Atom CPU, XP Home, a four-cell battery, and a 0.3-megapixel webcam.

Dell small biz 16:9 widescreen Vostro starts at $379

Hey now, here’s something you don’t see every day. It’s a true 16:9 display in a business notebook for way, way cheap.

Dell’s Vostro A860 line starts at under $400 (that’s after instant savings – it’s normally $448) and features a 15.6-inch display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. The notebook weighs in at 5.4 pounds, too, which isn’t bad for a unit of this size.

There are four models available, running from $379 to $664 after instant savings ($448 to $930 regularly). The specs are pretty much what you’d expect from lower-end business notebooks: integrated graphics, 1GB to 2GB of RAM, 120GB to 250GB hard drive, one-year warranty, and stuff like that. Still, the 16:9 display will be great for… um… watching movies at work, I guess.

Dell Vostro A90: a netbook for the suits

Dell has taken the Inspiron Mini 9 netbook and dressed it up for the business types. The innards are exactly the same as the pedestrian counterpart with an Intel 1.6 Atom CPU, 8GB SSD, 1GB of RAM and a 8.9-inch screen. So far the stark black netbook is announced only for the Japanese market and carries an astonishing high price of ¥92,830 ($999 USD), and unless this netbook fad takes off here in the States, chances are the Vostro A90 will stay over in Tomorrow Land. We don’t need another netbook here anyway.

New Dell Vostro 1510, 1310 notebooks in two weeks

Looking for an exciting business laptop? How about just a business laptop? If it’s the latter, then the new Dell Vostro lineup might be just right for you.

Starting May 1, you’ll be able to get your hands on the 13.3-inch Vostro 1310 starting at $749 or the 15-inch Vostro 1510 starting at $599. If you can contain your excitement until the middle of May, you can get the 17-inch Vostro 1710 starting at a currently-unknown price.

Dell’s playing the “we asked our customers what they wanted” angle and claims that security software and lighter weight were the two big selling points. As such, the 13.3-inch Vostro “has 94 percent the viewing area of a 14.1-inch model, yet weighs nearly 20 percent less” at 4.6 pounds. That’s not too bad considering Dell’s penchant for chunky laptops. The 15-inch version weighs 5.7 pounds.

All new Vostro models will also feature slot-loading disc drives, fingerprint readers, something called “Trusted Platform Module 1.2″ which prevents data theft and network access, and pre-installed McAfee Total Protection for Small Business.
