Contest: Target exclusive Hasbro Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Superion up for grabs

I know that I’m totally out of Hasbro’s targeted demo, but the Target exclusive Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Superion is the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to assemble. A month after the fact, I still haven’t been able to put it together, which is why Target is hooking us up with five Superions to give away. I challenge all of you to do better than me (if you win). I remember the days when Hasbro’s Transformers toys were totally awesome and easy to put together. What the heck happened? I also miss the red decoder bonus from the old toys. → Read More

Review: DS Lite Transformers kit from PDP

Short Version: Friends, this is the nerdiest and coolest Nintendo DS Lite case that a Transformers fan could ask for. What kid (12-year-old or 35-year-old) wouldn’t want their DS too look like Bumblebee or Megatron? Do you see the stylus that each set comes with? Pick one up for your kid or yourself. They’re only $20. → Read More

Review: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Xbox 360)

Movie licensed games have generally sucked something fierce. Very rarely are any of them ever any good, and the same goes for movies based on videogames. Something gets lost in translation. Development is typically rushed to coincide with simultaneous launches, and gamers are the ones who suffer the most. There are a few diamonds in the rough (X-Men Origins: Wolverine was pretty good), but they’re few and far between. Activision and Luxoflux’s adaption of the second Transformers cinematic masterpiece falls somewhere in between. → Read More

Video: Optimus Prime does Letterman's Top Ten List

Optimus Prime goes on Letterman and reads the top ten things that sound cool when spoken by a giant robot. I liked number nine: “Do you have these khakis in a size 114?” [via Topless Robot] → Read More

Video: Transformers 2 in one minute

Don’t want to waste $37 to see Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen at the movie theater? Most critics wouldn’t blame you although a lot of fans are enjoying the summer flick. But anyway, watch the video above and save yourself some cash. It tells the same story and has a proportionate amount of explosions. → Read More

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on track to be worst-rated $400m movie ever

CrunchGear, at the movies! Peter’s been talking pretty much non-stop about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for the past few days, and it brings me great joy to say that, despite the horrendous reviews—this is the dumbest thing I’ve ever read—it’s well on its way to becoming the worst reviewed $400 million movie ever. The movie has been in theaters for five days now and it’s already halfway to the $400 million mark. → Read More

CrunchDeals: Big discounts at Target on Transformers goods

What appears to have started on the 22nd of this month and running through until July 11th (a day before my birthday *hint, hint*) is a bonanza on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen items at Target. With discounts up to 20 percent, parents and kids, young and old, will want to flock to the red bullseye and snatch up all manner of Transformers goods. → Read More

Poll: Are you going to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?

I’ve heard mixed reviews about the movie, but have yet to see it myself. I haven’t seen any of the trailers either, but I’ll probably go and see it whether it sucks or not. What about you? {democracy:61} → Read More

Kodak wishes to reunite Megan Fox and the boy with the yellow rose

Activision ships Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for every platform known to man

It’s almost Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (aka Megan Fox on an IMAX screen) time! Sadly, I missed the preview they held last night in NYC, which I’m extremely heartbroken over, but I’ll pay to see the movie regardless. Anyway, Activision is now shipping the game companion and I’m pretty excited to play it after having previewed it two months prior. Mostly, I’m just excited for the unlockable cartoons. I do have G1 on DVD that I could watch whenever though. I’m stoked for online multi-player, too. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is available for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, PSP, DS, and PS2. → Read More

Bay drops a gaggle of Transformers 2 "Fun Facts" and he's not quitting the franchise

So that’s Ravage in case you were wondering. I thought it was Voltron at first. Anyway, the Bay posted a list of “Fun Facts” about the upcoming Transformers sequel on his blog the other day and I felt the need to share with the rest of you nerds. It’s actually a pretty interesting list. For example, Transformers 1 took up 20TB of space and Revenge of the Fallen takes up 145TB. → Read More

Source: Dyson vacuum confirmed for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen appearance

Remember the contest that worth1000 held last year for rejected Transformers robots? Well, it looks like one of those rejected bots will actually be making an appearance in the upcoming Transformers sequel. Sources close to the film have confirmed with CrunchGear that a Dyson vacuum will make an appearance during the film. We realize there have been screenings in Asia, but not in the US and there has been no mention of such quirky bots. → Read More

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game includes sweetest unlockables ever (cartoons!!)

While I won’t go as far as the press release does in calling this unlockable content “unprecedented” and “incredible,” it certainly is something I’d be happy to grind levels for. The Transformers game itself is coming out June 23rd on pretty much every platform, but the PS3, 360 and PC versions will be the only ones with these great bonuses. We’re talking episodes of the original series here, people.

Too bad they don’t have an unlockable that turns you into Soundwave… in real life. → Read More

Me Grimlock! Me transform into mouse!

It appears there is a stepped rollout going on with Transformers-related doodads. Hey, they can imitate anything within their mass limits, right? So why wouldn’t they become helpful everyday gadgets instead of expensive cars and flamey semi trucks? Just yesterday we saw the USB drive that turns into a robo-cat… or is it a robo-cat that turns into a USB drive? We won’t know until we get one. Same with this mouse, although I’m more skeptical of its functionality. → Read More
