After raising $100 million, Russia’s Amazon (OZON) acquires Russia’s Zappos (Sapato)

Sapato.ru, the "Zappos of Russia", raises $12 million from Intel, others

Sapato.ru, a Russian online shoe retailer, this morning announced that it has secured $12 million in additional capital from Intel Capital, with existing investors Direct Group, eVenture Capital Partners and Kinnevik participating. The round brings Sapato.ru’s total of funding to approximately $20 million.

Russian Zappos clone Sapato.ru raises $5m in second funding round

Online footwear store Sapato.ru, which is essentially a Zappos clone, has raised $5m in a second round of funding from eVenture Capital Partners, Kinnevik and Fast Lane Ventures, all three of whom are previous backers.
