Canon has a new entry level dSLR, possibly with your name on it. The EOS Rebel XS, aka the 1000D, will ship in August for $699. The naming terminology is getting problematic here. The Rebel line has gone from 350 to 400 to 450 since I’ve had one, with all kinds of sub-names, and now there’s a Rebel 1000D which apparently is less powerful than the 450D/XSi.
