Onesheet On-The-Go: Music Service Now Lets Artists Connect With Fans Across Mobile Devices

If you’re in a band and you don’t know Onesheet, you should check it out. For those unfamiliar, Onesheet is, as its name would suggest, a one-page dossier for bands. We originally referred to (and have continued referring to) Onesheet as the “About.me for bands/musicians,” but that analogy is annoying in the way all tech media analogies are short-sighted — and also because it just doesn’t really fit anymore.

Case-in-point: Onesheet is today taking its show on the road, or more specifically, is translating its web experience into those small, mobile screens to give bands an opportunity to connect with their fans on-the-go. → Read More

With Version 2.0, Onesheet Becomes The About.me For The Entertainment Industry

    screen-shot-2011-08-16-at-3-26-17-am

Back in July of last year, ArtistData Founder and serial entrepreneur Brenden Mulligan brought his newest project, Onesheet, into beta. At the time, Alexia described Onesheet as the “About.me for bands”, which is an apt description considering Mulligan’s professed goal for his startup was to create a simple way for bands to build a real presence on the Web without having to religiously maintain that presence. That means that bands can use Onesheet to create aggregated, customizable profiles, verifying their identities through Facebook or Twitter to connect with third party services like Soundcloud, Bandcamp and ReverbNation. (And social media services like Posterous, Tumblr and YouTube.) → Read More

Onesheet, The About.me For Bands, Adds 10,000 Artists In Just Over A Month; Launches Public Beta

Screen shot 2011-08-16 at 3.26.17 AM

Over the last few years, the music industry has endured some serious growing pains. And while the industry still wears its new digital outfit like an ill-fitting coat made of cassettes, I, for one, love hearing about young startups that are trying to make the music industry a better (and more modern) place to hang out and do business. While digital media have given bands access to a wider audience and cheap distribution channels, it’s still as difficult as ever for artists to make a buck and blast their music and brand messages out broadly — yet efficiently and effectively.

So, last month, Brenden Mulligan, the founder of ArtistData (a syndication tool for musicians to post information across the web), launched a new musical venture called Onesheet with a simple mission: Create a simple way for bands to build a real presence on the Web without having to religiously maintain that presence. → Read More

    Onesheet Is About.me For Bands

Onesheet, the latest project from ArtistData founder Brenden Mulligan launches into beta today. Like an About.me for bands, Mulligan holds that Onesheet is the simplest web presence for a band currently available.

With Onesheet, bands can verify their identity through Facebook or Twitter and connect their musician-specific third party services like Soundcloud, Bandcamp and ReverbNation as well as social media services like Posterous, Tumblr and YouTube. Once all their content is in, bands can tweak their Onesheet’s design, making changes like font and widget positioning. Aside from this slight customization, bands really don’t have to do much work, as the service updates itself. → Read More
