  • T-Mobile to launch BlackBerry 8900 sooner rather than later?

If this screenshot from TmoNews is legit, which I’m inclined to believe it is then (even though they originally said it would be the 18th as well as BGR) the 8900 will be in my nerdy paws a few days before the expected February 11th launch. I don’t see a whole lot else that we didn’t already know about the Curve II. I just wish it were 3G. *sigh* Read More

  • Rogers launches the BlackBerry 8900 Javelin

After some many months in the works, the BlackBerry 8900 (otherwise known as “Javelin”) has finally made its way out of the labs and onto a shelf near you. Well, by “a shelf near you” we mean “on a shelf at Rogers locations in Canada”. Not, say, the shelf in your bathroom. Essentially a BlackBerry Bold Lite, the Javelin’s missing 3G, and has a… Read More

  • BlackBerry 8900 aka Javelin aka Curve II passes through the FCC

This morning T-Mobile Germany announced the 8900 and now CellPhone Signal has found the FCC filing for North America. The baby Bold is expected to hit both GSM networks here in the US, but it’s unclear when that will be. For all the T-Mobile customers like myself, I hope it’s soon. Do I switch to AT&T to get the 3G Bold or suck it up and wait for the EDGE Curve II? Read More

  • BlackBerry Javelin goes for $17,100 on Ebay

Somewhere in our crazy world, a true BlackBerry fanboy spent 17 large for a pre-release BlackBerry Javelin. Either there is something shady going on here and the shipping box is packaged with baby mink fur, or actually, someone wants the latest non-3G BlackBerry Javelin. Sure, word is the phone does have WiFi and GPS, along with a speedy 512 MHz CPU and a HVGA+ screen, but who would spend… Read More

  • Blackberry Javelin pics

If you like the BlackBerry Curve – who doesn’t? – then you’ll love the Javelin. This update to RIM’s signature smartphone looks pretty sassy complete with full keyboard, roller ball, and, umm, a removable back plate?
As we recall, the Javelin has: Read More

  • BlackBerry Niagara has a twin

Looks like the BlackBerry Niagara is one of two devices with the similar facades. The Niagara is the EV-DO version that’s slated to hit Verizon a year from now and there’s also a 2.5G version dubbed Javelin. Seems pointless to keep making 2.5G devices since T-Mobile’s 3G network should be in full swing by 2009. Specs for both after the jump. Read More
