Hopefully this Borderlands trailer gets you playing the game

You’ve heard of Borderlands, right? It’s one of the new FPSs out there but forget about the rest, you must play this game. I just started yesterday after beating Prototype (another killer game) and I have to say I’m hooked. So far I’m getting the vibe that the game is kind of like a cross between a western-themed FPS and a RPG with a simple, but robust character… → Read More

New ‘Fracture’ gameplay features terrain deformation

Fracture, from LucasArts and Day 1 Studios, will be coming in October for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. The main selling point is the game’s deformable terrain feature, which basically entails your character blowing the hell out of the ground to create mounds and/or holes to help you get over and under walls and whatnot. Here’s a recent gameplay video with a couple of the developers pointing out… → Read More

[photopress:fpsbev.jpg, full, right] It’s “faster than you can think” and was developed to give pro gamers an edge over their competition. CG Holiday 2007 Recommendation: Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 for the Wii

Looking for the best FPS game on the Wii? This is it. Is it perfect? No. Is it even close to something you could find on Xbox 360, PS3, or your PC? Probably not. But for the Wii, it’s a big step in the right direction. For starters, you can play online. Cool, no? The controls are also pretty intuitive and add to the gameplay experience. They’re not overdone or gimmicky, which is a huge… → Read More

CrunchDeals: Call of Duty 3 for Wii, $29.99 shipped

Amazon.com has the Nintendo Wii version of Call of Duty 3 for just under $30, which includes free shipping. As a Wii owner and FPS enthusiast, I can tell you that this game is the least disappointing of the first person shooters that I’ve tried and one of the least disappointing games I’ve played on the Wii. It’s a fun, albeit short romp through the battlefields of World War II… → Read More

New '3rd Space' gaming vest lets you feel the frag

Oh joy! Next time I think I’m man enough to play a first person shooter against kids half my age, I’ll be sure to wear this thing. That way, I’ll be able to feel myself getting shot non-stop thanks to 8 special zones placed around the vest that shoot a hard puff of air based upon where you’re hit. This actually looks like a cool device and if I didn’t suck so bad at… → Read More

Not a Halo 3 post

Shockingly, this post is not about Halo 3. Instead, I’d like to bring to your attention a Killzone action figure that pays attention to details. Modeled after the Helghast from the game, this one-of-a-kind model comes from custom crafter Jim Saotome. And in case you were wondering, yes, those eyes light up. Personally I think the Helghast could kick Master Chief’s ass any day of the… → Read More

It's Official: BioShock Cooler Than Jesus, 99-cent Burrito

The reviews are starting to trickle in and the general consensus seems to be that the highly-anticipated BioShock is a smash hit. Receiving a rare 10/10 score from both Games Radar and Game Informer. The ambiance, graphics, sound, and control seem to be flawless and I hear the gameplay isn’t half-bad either. Getting to control stuff with your hand is always a plus, not to mention uncommon in… → Read More

Call Of Duty 4 Runs At 60FPS On PS3

Never mess with a game’s devteam. The dorks on the Call of Duty 4 message boards kept blabbing nonsensically about how the game would run at 30FPS with no anti-aliasing and would suck, etc. Now a developer is fighting back and says: “Same level of AA between 360/PS3, both @ 60fps. Hate on the PS3 all you want guys, but we’ve done did it up right for the Sony lovers. Nothing has… → Read More
