Dreamcom 10 ergonomic laptop

Here’s a quick slideshow of the DreamCom 10, a laptop that folds into multiple configurations for ergonomic comfort. The keyboard moves back and forth and tilts up while the screen slides up and down. This model has a 2.6 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a 15.4-inch monitor. It also has a dock and comes in three flavors: Personal, Business, and Professional. All of them run Vista and support UMTS/HSDPA. THere are even dedicated phone buttons on top of the laptop. Samsung announces dual touchscreen clamshell

[photopress:1_sgh_g400_1.jpg,full,pp_image] Announced today at CeBIT is Samsung’s G400, which is the first full touch dual screen clamshell. Much like the Soul we saw at 3GSM the G400 a glossy finish and offers a unique GUI unlike any other. Said GUI includes three different skins to match the personality of its owner. The G400 features an internal 2.22-inch LCD and a 2.22-inch external touch screen with haptic feedback that allows users to sift through multimedia features. Said multimedia features include an FM radio, MP3 player, and 5-megapixel camera (face detection, image stabilizer and Wide Dynamic Range). The HSDPA device will be available in Europe this June. We will likely never see it. Razer Salmosa: Goes really well with chicken tikka masala

[photopress:scaled.IMG_1521.JPG,full,pp_image] We got a chance to see Razer’s new mouse, the ultra-light Salmosa. Designed for real-time strategy players, this is a very basic, smaller-sized mouse aimed at the Asian market where games like Warcraft and Starcraft still rule the day. The Salmosa should sell for 29.99 euro or about $35. It’s hitting the streets in August. The mouse is surprisingly light and small and feature’s Razer’s 1800dpi infrared sensor and quick button switches for faster reaction time. Incidentally, the President of Razer, Robert Krakoff informed us that he was actually on the flight into Hamburg that you will find after the jump. Needless to say Mr. Krakoff was fairly subdued during our meeting, although that could have just been the San Diego in him. Ballmer goes green at CeBIT

Peter and I got in too late to go to any of the first day stuff — we were stuck in a goddamn airplane the size of a raisin box — but it seems Steve “The Animal” Ballmer got up and whispered sweet nothings into Angela Merkel’s ear. He began by describing the next wave in computing involving wireless broadband everyway and natural user interfaces AKA not Windows. He then when on talk about social networking, education, and going green, a charming sentiment to be sure. He then strummed a lute and intoned: As computing continues to become more powerful, more affordable and more connected, it will not only enable those of us who live in places like Hannover and Seattle to lead better lives, it will give billions more people around the world a chance to take advantage of incredible new social and economic opportunities so they can lead better lives, too and that, will truly be revolutionary. Nice talk from a guy whose lunch is being eaten by Google. Opening Speech Steve Ballmer [CeBIT] → Read More

Mystery mouse with a countdown

There are no details to be found on this interesting-looking mouse other than the fact that it comes out some time next week. I used to think there was nothing new under the sun when it came to mice, but that was before I saw Logitech’s MX Air — so maybe this will surprise me too. Check out the site for a countdown timer and an exciting one-second clip of the mouse shooting through space. Speedofthelight.com → Read More
