I’m starting to get a tad excited over this device again. RIM, please bring this down south soon! → Read More
Jeez – after hearing about the Bold for over 3 months, it’s hard to believe this thing still hasn’t touched down in North America. Fortunately, that won’t hold true much longer. Read the rest at MobileCrunch >> → Read More
Interest in the BBB is at an all time low. BlackBerry News is reporting that the 3G BlackBerry from RIM is now being pushed back to September 1 or later. I’m not sure about you folks, but I’m over it. → Read More
http://services.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f8/687242818 Dare I say it, but I think my interest in the Bold is beginning to wane. BGR demos both IE and FF emulators that both crash, but that OS sure does it look pretty. Of course, I can’t pass judgment on something I haven’t seen in person, yet. Any BlackBerry fans being swayed either way by this video? → Read More
Attention Canada- By now you’ve read that Rogers will be bending you over on data plans if the iPhone 3G is something you’re lusting after and you’re none to happy about it, so I suggest you look down a different path. Why not stick to a homegrown company like RIM and wait a couple weeks for the Bold? → Read More
Oh, those naughty bloggers. How hardworking PR people must hate the rumors incessantly bubbling up based on every offhand remark or misspoken word. In this case the buzz has been around the much-anticipated Blackberry Bold being delayed until August, though if you ask them, August was the target all along. RIM PR guy Erik van Drunen says: We didn’t say anything about ‘July’ or ‘August.’ It will become available in August. So we’re still on track for [availability] this summer, Well, there you have it, straight from the horse’s mouth. → Read More
I got a little face time with the BlackBerry Bold today and came away impressed. The BlackBerry Bold is a new step for RIM. Whereas the Pearl aimed at the non-smartphone user who wanted some email functionality, the Bold clearly aims at a new audience – the extreme emailer in a casual business. Whereas most of the line is built for IT guys and members of the khaki-clad workforce, the Bold promises something a bit more than email and instant messaging. → Read More

According to BGR‘s sources, the Bold is still having software issues that are causing battery life issues and overheating. As such, AT&T has not given RIM the green light. This is bad news for RIM and every BlackBerry user out there. I’m going to have to track down that face contorting jackass, John Mayer, and steal his Bold. Thanks BGR, you just ruined my morning. *sad clown* → Read More

It looks good, but I wish they would have spent some more time on a few of the features that have been lacking in the last few models like, the browser and HTML e-mail. I need to have one in hand to really make a definitive decision. I seriously can’t wait for the Bold to launch, though. → Read More
Apparently Rogers of Canada will get the 3G BlackBerry in one week, June 25. I thought AT&T was getting the Bold in July? According to the BGR we may have to wait a bit longer for the Bold to hit stateside. AT&T corporate is still telling their Fortune 500 customers that the Bold will launch in “July/August”. I hope it’s not really August. It’s the one thing I’ve been looking forward to this year. → Read More
The connection in my hotel here in Berlin is slow as molasses or FF is being weird, so my apologies for the strange screen cap. While everyone else is frothing over the iPhone 3G, I’m patiently waiting for the Bold to hit the streets. AT&T now has it up on their site, so jump on over and check it out. Nothing new, though. The specs we’ve all been expecting and heard about are still there. → Read More
Everyone knows that I’m not the biggest fan of the iPhone and I usually steer clear of most comparisons because I find them useless. That being said, I’ll reiterate the uselessness of this comparison between the current gen iPhone and RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry Bold by the iPhone blog. I don’t even care about the fact that the Bold is the clear winner because we have no idea what the 3G iPhone will ship with. But if you’d like to take a look for yourself then feel free to do so after the jump. “…quite a bit wider…” Really? I don’t think so. “I like the UI of the iPhone better…” No shit?! You write for the IPHONE BLOG. The comparison is a bit weak considering the Bold they have is not final spec. I’m halfway through this video and it makes me want to vomit. → Read More
High res available here. While everyone else in the free world is geeking over the iPhone 2, I’m giddy for the BlackBerry Bold. Everyone I’ve spoken to that currently uses a BlackBerry is psyched for this device and 90 percent scoff at the Thunder because we all know how much touchscreen phones SUCK (this goes for all of them not just the iPhone). I’m bummed I have to wait till September, though. *sad clown* → Read More
That’s right, addicts, the Bold will be shipping with RIM’s yet to be released BlackBerry Media Sync software that allows you to transfer your iTunes music files to your BlackBerry. I can’t wait for this to come out. → Read More
As is the norm, AT&T will be the first carrier to sell the BlackBerry Bold from RIM. “AT&T will be the only U.S. carrier to offer the [Bold] when we begin selling it later this year. I also want to make sure you know that AT&T will be the only U.S. carrier to offer a BlackBerry that has international 3G capabilities and the only U.S. carrier to give its customers the ability to use their BlackBerry in such countries as Japan and South Korea,” AT&T rep John Kampfe said in an email. Maybe I’m still half asleep, but how is the GSM Bold from AT&T going to work in Korea when they run CDMA? I’m so sleepy. → Read More
