Barnes & Noble‘s recently appointed CEO (and former BN.com President) William Lynch this morning sent a long letter to all of its shareholders in connection with the company’s Annual Meeting, which will be held on September 28.
The B&N eReader iPad, iPhone, and PC apps are no more. Instead, B&N now has brand new apps, complete with updated features, but more importantly, new branding. From here on out, it will be called Nook for iPad, Nook for iPhone and lastly, Nook for PC. See what they’re doing there? B&N launched its iPad app about a month ago and today they are announcing the lastest version comes packed with even more customizable options. Fresh off the heels of a distribution agreement that brought many of e-books in its catalog to Scribd, indie book publisher Author Solutions (ASI) has inked a similar deal with bookseller Barnes & Noble.
