• Overpay Britannia: DJ Hero for $180 in the UK, but only $120 in the U.S.

How much would you be willing to pay for DJ Hero? The latest news or rumors or whatever you want to call it is that UK retailer ShopTo was apparently told by Activision that the MSRP of the game will be £107.99, or just shy of $180. That includes the turntable, of course. Read More

  • Activision ships Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for every platform known to man

It’s almost Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (aka Megan Fox on an IMAX screen) time! Sadly, I missed the preview they held last night in NYC, which I’m extremely heartbroken over, but I’ll pay to see the movie regardless. Anyway, Activision is now shipping the game companion and I’m pretty excited to play it after having previewed it two months prior. Mostly… Read More

If I were a betting man, I’d say the The Beatles are going to sweep this round. Read More

Band Hero is more family friendly with an E10+ rating and will feature Top-40 hits. Read More

  • CrunchArcade Preview: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game

I’m still pissed off that Bay gave Optimus moving robotic lips in the first film, but the overall awesomeness of seeing CGI Transformers 20+ years after the fact allows me to tolerate such insubordination. I never played the first game based on the movie, though. Activision’s title sold over a million copies, but received less than desirable reviews from jerks like me. Sometimes… Read More

  • Guitar Hero: Leonard Cohen coming this summer

Fans of 1960s mopefolk rejoice! Activision is releasing a new version of Guitar Hero featuring Leonard Cohen’s entire oeuvre including Suzanne, Bird on the Wire, and that one song that you listened to over and over again on your roommate’s turntable before he moved out and left you stuck with a $700 rent until you brought in that weird frat kid who ate Ramen and played Madden all… Read More

Today, Activision and Sony announced “Backstage with Guitar Hero” for PlayStation Home so players can congregate and accost each other virtually while watching GH videos and sharing their own greatest hits.
