Honeycomb Hits The Logitech Revue, But You Have To Really Want It

    honeycombdroid

GTVHackers has released an Android 3.1 beta built specifically for the Logitech Revue Google TV device. The hitch? It’s not quite ready for public consumption, it could destroy your user experience, and you could end up with a GTV that can’t be restored to its original OS or that is completely bricked.

You can download the update here and instructions are here.

Logitech Made $5 Million On The Revue, Still Standing Behind Google TV

Logitech reported making $5 million on the Revue Google TV device. The device, which allows users to browse TV shows in a unique, Android-esque interface, is still a priority at Logitech and, according to their CEO, they are “enthusiastic about Google TV.” → Read More

Logitech Revue Rooted, Full Access To File System Available

The Logitech Revue has been out for a few months now and it’s already been cracked wide open. The new hack allows “root” access, thereby allowing anyone to load their own apps into the box and have access to the full filesystem. The bad news? You need a soldering iron. → Read More

    Inside the Logitech Revue

Our buddies at iFixIt have torn down the Logitech Revue Google TV box and found what amounts to be a mini computer powered by an Intel Atom CE4150 1.2 GHz processor. Oddly enough, for a device with no storage space, it contains 5GB of NAND flash. → Read More

Dish Network Subscribers Get Logitech Revue For Only $180

As I said, it’s Logitech‘s day today, and now it’s time for other companies to piggyback on all the goodwill. Dish Network has two main bits of info for us this afternoon: one, that it’ll be selling the Logitech Revue, and two, that if you’re a subscriber you’re potentially looking at a nice little discount. Nothing wrong with that. → Read More

Accessories Abound For Logitech Revue: Web Cams, Mini Controllers & More

Logitech has won the afternoon~! It’s showing off the Revue, and it seems to replicate many of the features of the device I’m currently using: a computer. (I suppose the blame there lies with Google TV, not Logitech.) In any event, there’s a number of accessories that will be available alongside the Revue that may interest you. They’re all available to pre-order right now. → Read More

Report: Logitech Expecting To Ship 500k Google TV Revue Boxes By End Of 2010

Google TV is going to be big. Well, at least that’s what us Internet know-it-alls think. The average consumer will actually dictate its reach and household penetration, but apparently Logitech is siding with us on this one. According to a report published by DigiTimes, the company is expecting to ship 500k of their Revue boxes in this year alone. That’s commitment. → Read More
