Oregon Scientific goes green with solar powered weather stations

What we have here is somewhat self-explanatory. The two new Oregon Scientific weather stations provide clock functions along with weather info and are solar powered. Both models feature atomic clocks and a detachable solar panel that recharges the battery. This way, you can know what the weather will be like for your daily tree hugging. → Read More

Looking to impress your dinner guests but can’t afford a Chumby? Why not show them you sorta mean business with this colorful weather forecasting alarm clock? Oregon Scientific Weather In Motion

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could wake up every morning to both the weather and the time? If you don’t want to take the extra five seconds to open up SimpleWeather each morning, then make things easier on yourself by picking up Weather In Motion from Oregon Scientific. Aside from having a clock set to Atomic Time, you’ll be able to get your indoor and outdoor temperatures, current conditions, and forecasts. There’s even a scroll mode where every five seconds, the weather will scroll by the time. I know, mind-blowing. Better hurry up and order one soon though, as they’re already sold out on Oregon Scientific’s website. $64.99 is the name of the game for this alarm clock. Product Page → Read More

ATC2K: Oregon Scientific Action Video Camera

The ATC2K from Oregon Scientific is a great, low cost, mountable video camera for the daredevil out there. The waterproof video camera has 32MB of internal memory with an SD card slot supporting up to 2GB. The ATC2K works with a wide variety of video editing software, so I wouldn’t sweat over that detail. It virtually mounts to anything you can think of with its included hardware and works down to a depth of 10 feet and shoots video in 640×480 VGA at 30fps. Also included alongside the mounting hardware are RCA and USB cables. The ATC2K is powered by two AA batteries and weighs in at a paltry 120g. It will be available August 10 in Japan, but we can already get one now for $170. Huzzah, Japan! Product Page [via Far East Gizmos] → Read More

Oregon Scientific Four Piece Weather Module Station: For Those Who Just Need to Know The Dew Point Right Now

Oregon Scientific’s BHT668A is a modular, cable-free mini weather station. It’s comprised of four different instruments: a barometer, a rain gauge, an indoor module that displays and records rainfall data and a thermo-hygrometer. That one measure humidity. Since it’s modular you can break up the four parts and have them in different rooms or whatever. You can have a “Humidity Room” or a “Rain Room.” And you could lose all your friends, too! You could drop $200 on this baby, or just load and reload SimpleWeather like I do. That’s what the cool kids do. Product Page via WeatherSnob.com → Read More

    Oregon Scientific Action Helmet Camera

The ATC-2000 Action Helmet Camera is a new activity camera for action oriented individuals. It shoots hands-free full color digital video in 640 x 480 VGA at 30fps. And as one would expect from an action cam, the ATC2k is both water and shock resistant. Sadly it only supports SD cards, so there is no bluetooth synching for constant picture uploading via a phone, but I guess it is, at least, better than a lot of the other options out there. It runs on two AA batteries and connect to your computer with USB 2.0. The ATC2K is available now for $129.99. Product Page [via Engadget] → Read More
