CrunchDeals: Make $50 on the LG Shine

Amazon.com has the LG Shine for -$50 after rebate. AT&T itself sells it for $99 after rebate. The Amazon rebate is fifty bucks, so the phone sells for a penny out of pocket. You have to be a new AT&T customer and sign a two-year agreement, of course, but if you’re looking for a new phone, this appears to be a pretty good deal. The phone isn’t new by any means, but it still has a decent feature set: 3G data, video sharing, hidden keypad, Bluetooth 1.2, two-megapixel camera with flash, and more. LG Shine Gets 3G HSDPA, Now Does Video Calls, Still Not Here

LG must hate America because not only has it still not released the Shine here yet, but it’s already going to launch an updated version with 3G (HSDPA) capabilities this month. The extra bandwidth can be used for video calls thanks to the built-in VGA camera. Otherwise, the Shine, she remains the same: 2-megapixel camera, MP3 playback and shine like you’ve never before seen. Now where’s ours? Press Release [LG via Digital Chosunilbo] → Read More
