Just a friendly reminder, Futurama returns to Comedy Central tonight. And while I made a joke about setting your DVR, please watch it live. Particularly if you are a Neilsen family. It’s only going to stay around if you watch the show, and the networks still think it only counts if you watch it live, and not record it on your DVR and watch it later. I think this is foolish, but whatever.

At any rate, the Futurama’s triumphant return is tonight at 10pm eastern time. Try not to miss it people.

In case you didn’t notice, Peter Ha was a tad upset when news broke about Fox recasting Futurama. Good news though, a deal has been reached. The original cast is returning after agreeing to the “studio paying more and the actors accepting less” according to TheStar.com. I just hope that Peter can get some sleep now. He’s been a little cranky lately.

As excited as I was about the return of Futurama, FOX has once again ruined that experience by their callous actions. According to no less than cast members John DiMaggio, Phil LaMarr, and Maurice LaMarche on their Facebook pages, a casting notice has gone out to replace actors DiMaggio, LaMarche, Billy West and Katy Sagal.

She still has problems with men and often gets jealous of Amys (her co-worker) popularity among the opposite sex. Hooray! Futurama makes its triumphant return today. Be sure to go out and grab a copy of Bender’s Big Score for yourself. It won’t be much longer until the series gets back on its feet before we see new episodes next year on Comedy Central. Reruns of the cult favorite will switch from Cartoon Network to Comedy Central on 1/1/08. Oh, and the new episodes will be in HD. Stoked.

Everyone got all hot and bothered when Apple dropped the price of its iPhone a few weeks back, but a New Yorker got so mad that she has filed suit against both Apple and AT&T. The woman—Dongmei Li, surely you’ve heard of her—says Apple broke a bunch of laws when it dropped the price of the iPhone, that she can’t sell her iPhone for the same profits as Johnny Come Lately, etc. Good for her.

Actually, no; nuts to her. Where does she get off suing Apple because of her decision to buy an iPhone? Stupid lawsuit-happy country. I hope it goes to trial and her attorney is that giant chicken from Futurama and all he does is peck at the floor.

This video clip really no introduction. We told you about Futurama making a comeback in 2008 and now the trailer that was shown at ComiCon has been leaked to the Interwebs. Watch and enjoy. You deserve it after a long, hard week.

I know this is neither gear or gadget, but it’s sweet nerd news and let’s face it, you people are nerds. Mark November 27 on your calendar and clear out your entire schedule because Futurama is making a return to the small screen. It won’t be joining Family Guy on FOX, though. Comedy Central will be its new home and the first four episodes will actually be released on DVD as features with “Bender’s Big Score” being the first.

Reruns will begin airing on CC starting January 1, 2008 with new episodes to follow. The original cast, writers and artists are back on board and the new episodes will include more nudity AND animation takes a step up to HD. A nude Leela in HD could be interesting if you’re into purple-haired cyclopes.
