You see a lot as an intern at a venture capital shop. Over the past three months I worked as an intern at the southeast Asian-focused venture firm Tigris Capital, under the tutelage of general partner William Klippgen. During the time I spent doing research and analysis, assisting portfolio companies, helping with due diligence and generating deal flow for the firm, I caught a glimpse of some of the big trends happening in the Southeast Asian market. With increasing internet access and a still-burgeoning middle class opportunities abound in the region.
