Sony Rebrands The PlayStation Suite, Reveals HTC As First New Hardware Partner

Sony is certainly no stranger to the mobile space — the recently-divorced Sony Mobile Communications branch has been announcing plenty of handsets lately, but the company has decided that their PlayStation-certified hardware efforts need to extend beyond their own walls.

Although the vast majority of Sony gaming content is focused on adult/teen titles, a new title called Wonderbook is particularly interesting. Using an augmented-reality book, kids can turn pages and watch themselves and the book animated on the screen. Wreckateer: Microsoft Aims For Angry Birds With New Casual Game

Microsoft Introduces Second-Screen Feature, Xbox SmartGlass

Microsoft just announced a new feature called Xbox SmartGlass, a “second screen” feature that allows you to view information about media on the screen of a mobile device or PC.

Xbox 360 “Kinects” You With Media With New Voice Features

Microsoft just announced an upcoming improvement to the Xbox 360 that allows you to search for movies and video content simply by calling out a few simple phrases (“bing action” for action movies, for example.)

Microsoft Xbox 360 Now Top Selling Console Worldwide

Microsoft’s Don Mattrick announced at the Microsoft media event at E3 that the Microsoft Xbox 360 has moved from the top console in North America to the top console worldwide, beating out the PS3 and Nintendo Wii.

Microsoft has not yet announced a successor to their popular 360 console but the success is attributed to high Kinect sales as well as improved media offerings for the console. → Read More
