At The WEF The Future Of Fashion Could Be “Trashion”

Francis Sollano, one of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers and the executive director of Youth For A Livable Cebu, truly believes that your trash is his treasure.

The artist and designer is working with restaurants and shops in his hometown of Cebu to turn their garbage into wearable fashion. Using local labor, Sollano is creating a new way to think about supply chains, fashion and retail.

The idea of high-end “trashion” may sound like something from Zoolander, but there’s nothing Derelicte about Sollano’s vision.

Check out his work — and maybe someday you won’t throw out your garbage; you’ll wear it.
