Introducing The Startup Battlefield Of Disrupt London 2015

TechCrunch is pleased to announce the 14 startups selected to participate in the Startup Battlefield at Disrupt London 2015. Over the next two days, these companies will compete on tech’s biggest stage for a €30,000 prize and the coveted Disrupt Cup.

The Battlefield represent the crème de la crème of the European tech scene. The startups onstage represent just under three percent of those that applied. Startup Battlefield serves to showcase the most promising early-stage and disruptive startups in the industry.

Battlefield companies address the needs of a wide variety of industries. These startups help consumers save water and reduce energy consumption. They help businesses manage construction sites and remote contractors. They handle everything from email to retail communication to elderly care. They can help you find a home or control your new flat from a single remote. And we’re just getting started.

Battlefield startups hail from right here in London and all across Europe. We have startups from France, Germany, and the Netherlands as well as Nigeria and the U.S.

Over the past month these startups have been working tirelessly to prepare to launch, rushing to finalize designs and produce that final prototype. They spent time with TechCrunch staff to hone their pitches to a crisp six minutes. All this work pays off when each startup faces off against an impressive lineup of judges during their live Q&A session.

Only a few selected finalists will have a chance to present twice and only a few will be able to truly vie for €30,000 and the Disrupt Cup.

The Startup Battlefield hub contains all the details of the event, including the schedule, bios of the judges and more details on the companies. The pitches will begin at 2:10 p.m. PDT today and everything will be streamed live.

Battlefield companies will also be showcasing in the Startup Alley both days of the conference. Stop by and see what all the fuss is about.
