Former Bonobos CEO Andy Dunn is “stepping up” to Executive Chairman of the company and will be replaced by retail expert Francine Della Badia. Dunn will become a brand ambassador and media face for the company while Della Badia will handle day-to-day business and manage the company’s Bonobos, AYR, and Maide lines.
“It was a huge decision,” said Dunn. “I wanted to find someone we could partner with to focus on retail.”
The move will be effective June 1, 2015.
Della Badia was President, North America Retail at Coach and a former Vice President at Victoria’ Secret. Most recently she ran Fashion CampNYC, a fashion accelerator in New York. Dunn made it clear that this move would allow him more time to represent the brand worldwide at Brand Shops and events.
“I feel fortunate to inherit a company with very compelling brands and strong momentum that is poised for continued growth,” said Della Badia in a release.
Bonobos, founded in 2007, sells clothing online and in physical stores. We visited the company in December where we spoke with then-CEO Dunn about the company’s growth.
