Apple Announces Apple Watch SDK, Launches In November

Apple just announced its SDK for the upcoming Apple Watch. Called WatchKit, the kit launches next month. The word comes from Tim Cook speaking today at an event held at the Apple Campus.

WatchKit will give developers the tools needed to build app for the Apple Watch. As Tim Cook noted on statge, so far Apple has only worked with select partners to build Apple Watch like BMW, American Express and Starwood Hotels.

With other SDKs called HealthKit and HomeKit, it’s no surprise that the Apple Watch’s SDK is called WatchKit.

The SDK will be available in November and the Apple Watch still has an official (and vague) ship date of Early 2015.
