Hitpost Founder, Designer Aaron Krane Joins Khosla Ventures As An EIR

Aaron Krane, the designer-founder who started Hitpost, a sports-centric mobile company that Yahoo later acquired, is joining Khosla Ventures as an entrepreneur-in-residence.

He’s close with some of Khosla’s recently hired consumer-focused VCs like former Square COO Keith Rabois and Ben Ling, who both have come on in the last two years. Krane worked alongside Rabois at Slide.

Krane said he’ll be focused on concepts in the consumer and enterprise space. He’s looking at what he calls “intelligence amplification,” which in theory could help memory or live conversation. He’s also looking at ideas in the enterprise space such as how data and analytics tools can help team members collaborate from anywhere or help companies do higher-skill crowd-sourcing.

Right before joining Khosla, Krane was working with a company called Relcy, that just raised $9 million from Sequoia Capital and Khosla Ventures. They are a search engine for native apps.
