Somewhere Releases iPhone App For Sharing Your Work (Not Your Life)

Somewhere.com, which bills itself as a sort of pinterest for sharing your work (not your favorite knitting patterns), has now launched the iPhone app to accompany the site we covered in January.

Somewhere’s pitch is that many people think visually and most social platforms (unlike perhaps Pinterest) don’t work that way. And that’s a missing link in business social platforms. They believe they can do a better job than LinkedIn or business networking niches like Dribbble and Behance, or About.Me in the personal profile space.

According to co-founder Duncan Gough, with the mobile app Somewhere.com users are able to share work moments with their followers, so called Sparks. Somewhere’s vision is to make finding the right opportunities for work a much more personal experience, and companies can attract the right people by showing what life at work is like for their teams.
