Surprise! Deadline Extended For The Startup Battlefield In SF And Europe

Well crazy kids, you’re in luck. Startup Battlefield applications are extended! Due to popular demand, we’ve decided to give you a little more time to get those submissions in.

The new deadline for the Startup Battlefield at Disrupt SF is 9 p.m. PST Sunday, June 22.

The new deadline for the Startup Battlefield at Disrupt Europe is 9 p.m. PST Sunday, July 6.

But don’t use this extension as a chance to dilly dally, dawdle or delay. We’re already reviewing submissions so get those apps in ASAP. Up for grabs is the $50,000 prize, the coveted “Disrupt Cup,” feedback from an all-star panel of judges, and a wealth of press exposure.

And let’s be real. TC knows how to pick ’em.

Since 2007, 350-plus Battlefield participants have raised $2.4 billion after appearing on our stage. And that same group has had 50 exits. This spring, TrueCar became the first Battlefield company to IPO and, more recently Zenefits, which launched at Disrupt NY 2013, closed $66.5 million from a16z and IVP.

So how would the influencers of Silicon Valley describe the Battlefield? Check out partners from SV Angel, Google Ventures, Sequoia Capital and others share their thoughts in the video below.

Lastly, a few reminders:

Keep videos short and sweet. The most important thing is that you actually show us your product, ideally working. The best videos walk us through a use-case, so we understand how your customers would use the product.

Yes, you can apply for both conferences, but you’ll only be invited to participate in one.

You can find all the details on our event pages. If you can’t hold in your awesomeness any longer, head on over to the application now.

As always, email battlefield@beta.techcrunch.com with any and all questions!
