Tune in on Tuesday, June 10 at 9:00 am PDT to watch Nintendo’s E3 press event.
For the second year in a row, Nintendo is not holding a traditional press conference. The company is forgoing the usual dog-and-pony show for a live Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live. Because, after all, highly skilled gamers are a better advertising event than watching aging executives announce upcoming titles.
Of course, Nintendo will likely sneak in announcements and teasers for other Wii U games during the event. Along with this tournament, the company will also host several other events from its E3 booth during the week.
Nintendo did something similar last year. Apparently it was a success. This year’s event is held in the same venue Nintendo once used for its traditional press events. The Nokia Theater is a massive venue located directly next to the convention center. Nintendo usually fills every seat.
Thanks to Twitch, all the action from the conference can be viewed here.
