Apple is live streaming its WWDC event today but an Apple device is required to watch. Officially, the stream requires Safari 4 or later on OS X, iOS 4.2 or later; or a second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later. However, if you’re on a Windows machine, like me, there are several workarounds that are likely to work.

For Windows, install QuickTime 7 and try viewing the stream in Chrome. If that doesn’t work, install Safari for Windows and try that. However, Apple stopped developing and supporting Safari for Windows so it’s probably not the best idea to continue using it. If neither of these methods work, let’s call it a day and go to the bar.
The company doesn’t say what’s going to be on the docket at the show, but it does say that it’ll be making “exciting announcements.” We’ll also be in attendance, to bring you the latest on what’s likely to iOS 8, OS X 10.9.3, and probably some hardware news as well. Rumors suggest we could see news from Apple regarding health tracking and home automation platforms, but regardless it’s bound to be an interesting show with plenty of news to dig into.
Apple also doesn’t make specific mention of this as a developer focused event or keynote in this new page and announcement (only the acronym for WWDC is used, in fact) so it’s probably fair to expect a decent amount of consumer-oriented news on that day as well.
