Homestar Runner Springs Back From The Dead, Releases New Stuff For The First Time In Four Years

Everybody. EVERYBOOOODY!

Homestar Runner, the site that introduced an entire generation of kids to wasting all of their time on the Internet, has been updated for the first time in four years.

To be clear, this isn’t an April Fools day joke on my part. I’d come up with a better joke than that, I promise! With that said: this is, perhaps, the only actual good news that we can expect to see today.

The new content is short, but sweet. To get to it, go sit at the site’s splash page (Heh. Remember splash pages?) for 10 seconds or so.

Super time-sensitive bonus: If you make it all the way to the end, you get to choose either of two… Desktop theme packs for Windows 98.

As for whether or not this means they’ll start dumping out new content on the regular, consider the closing lines:

Homestar: Thanks for updating the web site with me Strong Bad
Strong Bad: Yeah! That wasn’t so bad. We should do that again soon.
Homestar: Like, 3 years soon, or 5 years soon?
Strong Bad: Five.. ten… fifty. Eh. You know, whatever it takes.
