Google Naps, For When You Need A Nap Nearby

Dear Google, please don’t sue the guys who built this adorable Google Maps parody.

Following on today’s theme of laziness, two men from the Netherlands named Kakhiel and Venour have developed a smart little tool to help you find the nearest nap.

Meet, Google Naps.

Of course, this is just a parody app, according to the developers who posted an adorable disclaimer right within the webapp directly to Sergey Brin, Larry Page, and Googlers everywhere:

Dear Sergey & Larry (and other Googlers)
Hello, please don’t be mad this is just a joke, a parody. We don’t mean to damage your brand or anything, we just want to bring a smile on the faces of Google fans. So please don’t take this to court, we only have a few hundred Euros in the bank. And we also don’t want to go to jail because we’re too busy with other things at the moment. But whenever you are in the Netherlands you can have a nap on our couch if you want, just e-mail us: kakhiel@gmail.com. We can also make coffee and bake eggs if you like that (for a small price).

The site looks and feels almost identical to Google Maps, but instead lets users mark their favorite outdoor napping spots like bridges, benches, and open fields.

You can browse in your area for napping spots others have posted, or simply mark down your favorite napping spot for others to share. And, of course, to claim your territory.

Obviously, the real-world viability of a product like this is close to none, but it’s a nice way to start your Friday.

All you need now is an Ostrich Pillow.
