Screenburn, Which Does Paid Video-On-demand Inside Facebook, Raises Angel Cash

Screenburn, which specialises in video-on-demand events, with fans paying to watch films or concerts, has raised $500K (£302k) in angel investment to expand. The company is used by musicians and filmmakers to monetize their Facebook presences.

Screenburn’s app works with Facebook pages, taking payments from fans, and then making video available to stream for time limits. So far the site has launched over 200 films on Facebook, such as projects for Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones.

The company also brought onto its board Steve Macallister from television distributor Zodiak Rights and Howard Kiedaisch from digital cinema firm Arts Alliance Media.
