Softgarden And 1000jobboersen Merge To Create European Recruiting-as-a-Service Powerhouse

Two Berlin-based startups are merging: softgarden, which provides web-based recruiting software to handle the entire recruitment process, is joining forces with 1000jobboersen.de, a job ad media planning service. The new entity — softgarden E-Recruiting — claims to be Europe’s largest Recruiting-as-a-Service provider, with more than 5,000 clients.

At the same time, the combined company has closed a “seven-digit” financing round from new investors Cipio Partners and Alexander Brühl, who specialise in SaaS investments. The new capital will be used for marketing and to strengthen the softgarden E-Recruiting proposition for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Founded in 2000, softgarden’s SaaS encompasses the entire recruitment process from publishing job advertisements on job boards, receiving and processing applications, to selecting the right candidate. It also offers an API to connect service providers, such as recruiters, agencies or online assessments specialists, to the cloud so they can also offer the platform to their clients.

Meanwhile, 1000jobboersen.de is described as a “full service agency for performance-based media planning”. The company’s offering manages the placement of job ads with a host of job advertisement publications. It launched in 2008.

The new funding will also enable softgarden E-Recruiting to develop new solutions and business models to make the entire recruiting market “more transparent and efficient,” says the company.
