The TechCrunch San Diego Meetup+Pitch-Off Is This Thursday And Tickets Are Still Available

We’re in San Diego and ready to party.

This Thursday TechCrunch is hosting our first Meetup+Pitch-Off in San Diego. We’re taking over Block 16 and filling it with aspiring founders, hungry entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists with deep pockets. There will also be 20 companies pitching to a group of VCs and TechCrunch writers. The winner will get a spot in Disrupt SF’s Startup Alley next month. Plus the mundane trappings that go along with it, like fame and glory.

The San Diego meetup will be held at Block 16 with the doors opening promptly at 6pm on August 22 and will come to a close around 10pm. A few tickets are still available here. They’re $5.

We love these events. They bring together the best of the area’s local tech scene. There isn’t an agenda. There isn’t a schedule of events. Just come out, meet some neat people, watch the pitch-off and enjoy some frothy beverages thanks to our sponsors.

Tickets include booze (21 and older only, please), live entertainment in the form of that 60-second pitch-off contest, and there will even be some prizes and a fireside chat with a local San Diego VC. Tickets to the event are selling out quickly, so if you’d like to come hang out with myself, Jordan Crook, Josh Constine and Greg Kumparak, and your local tech community, click here and grab a ticket.

The companies below will take the stage around 7:45 to start their pitch. TechCrunch writers will also be on-site the whole night to hear about your company. Just because you’re not in the pitch-off doesn’t mean you won’t get to talk to one of us.
