Send In Your Questions For Ask A VC With Google Ventures’ Karim Faris

Ask A VC is back this week with Google Ventures’ general partner Karim Faris. As you may remember, you can submit questions for our guests either in the comments or here and we’ll ask them during the show.

At Google Ventures, Faris focuses on the enterprise and e-commerce and has helped the firm lead investments in ClearStory Data, Expect Labs, PuppetLabs, Egnyte and Duo Security among others. Faris initially joined Google’s corporate development M&A team in 2008 where he focused on Internet services, mobile and digital media.

Prior to Google, Karim was a venture capitalist at Atlas Venture, where he worked on investments in software and Internet infrastructure. Previously, he was director of New Ventures at Level 3 Communications, responsible for evaluating new business opportunities and has led product development for the company’s voice services. Earlier in his career, Karim held various product and marketing roles at Intel, initially on the i486™, and later as product manager for the Pentium® Processor. He started his career at Siemens as a software engineer working on the first vehicle navigation system for BMW.

We’re curious to hear more about the trends Faris is seeing in the enterprise software space, the startups and technologies he sees gaining the most traction among CIOs, and what he looks for when investing in an enterprise startup.
