eBay’s Svpply Brings A Daily Catalog Of Personalized Product Recommendations To Your iPhone Via New App, Want

eBay-owned Svpply is debuting a new app today, called Want, which aims to bring a daily catalog of the best products on the site, personalized to your tastes, to the iPhone. You can download the app here.

Svpply, which was acquired by eBay in September, aims to replicate the feeling of window-shopping online with a social, curated and personalized experience. The site curated selection of stylish merchandise from across the Web. Based on your friends on Twitter and Facebook, Svpply will show you products they like, help you discover products from other users, and allows users to display galleries of items they want or own.

But even curated, personalized recommendations can be an endless stream of stuff. Want gives you a shortlist of products you, for lack of better word, “want.” It listens to what you add to your Svpply account and sends you even better products the next day.

A curated want list could be a perfect answer for anyone who wants to create a mobile wish list of items, but also be able to discover new, highly curated products via personal recommendations.

While Svpply is remaining independent as a site, the startup is also looking to bring personalization tools to eBay sellers. The site’s Greg Leppert tells us Svpply is looking to build tools that will help sellers on eBay find new audiences for their products. Svpply is also improving Svpply’s integration with eBay.com so that eBay sellers can more easily get involved the recommendations site’s community.
