As this is being published, it’s just after midnight at the Disrupt SF 2012 Hackathon, and programmers are elbows deep into their projects (or perhaps in the middle of a well-deserved nap) with a very limited amount of time left to finish them off and polish them up for on-stage presentations Sunday. It may be hard for those bleary-eyed hackers to believe, but it was only hours ago on Saturday afternoon that they were just setting out on this journey, relatively bright-eyed and bushy tailed.

The video embedded above, shot and edited by TCTV’s John Murillo several hours into the Hackathon at around 4:30pm Pacific Time, might serve as a bit of a reminder to the Hackathon’s participants of that halcyon time in the mid-afternoon, when daylight still graced the skies and everything seemed possible. Pep talk: It’s still daylight somewhere! Everything really is possible! Stay focused and keep shipping code!

Anyway. Watch the video to get a look at the Disrupt SF Hackathon just a few hours in, while people were really getting into the swing of things of building apps. You’ll see the youngest Hackathon participant at 12 years old (he was accompanied by his dad, Playcraft founder Martin Wells, so it wasn’t unsupervised child labor), some folks working on the Google analytics for brick-and-mortar businesses, a team that we first saw on the Startup Bus to SXSW, and more.
