Silicon Valley’s answer to Martha Stewart Brit Morin is going full steam ahead with Brit & Co, the San Francisco-based geek-chic lifestyle brand and tech/media startup she launched last year.

The last time we checked in with Brit & Co. was a few months ago when it raised $1.25 million from some of the industry’s most influential seed investors. It’s clear today that Morin has been putting that funding to good use: She is now at the helm of a staff of 10 people, five of whom are engineers working full-time on building super slick web and mobile app experiences.

Today, Brit & Co. is launching a new iPhone app and a completely rebuilt web app as the first fully mobile-focused versions of its flagship website Brit.co, which provides multiple daily dispatches of technology-forward cooking, style, home decor, fashion, beauty, and healthy living tips all centered around Morin’s philosophy of modern “creative living.” Already about a third of Brit.co’s traffic has been coming from people on mobile devices, Morin tells us, so a fully mobile optimized version of the content only makes sense.

This is the second native iPhone app built by the folks at Brit & Co. This past spring saw the launch of Weduary, a wedding planning app aimed at tech- and social media-savvy couples. Morin tells us that many more mobile centric launches are in the pipeline.

We stopped by Brit & Co.’s headquarters to get a hands-on demo of the new app from Morin herself and get a look around her very fun office environment. Watch the video embedded to see the new app in action, hear what it’s like building a company that marries tech and media (hint: a lot of time on planes flying from NYC to SF), find out the biggest lesson Morin has learned during her first year as an entrepreneur, and more.

Here are a few screenshots of the new Brit.co iPhone app (click to enlarge):
