Charity: Water has become something of a phenomenon in recent years. We spoke to founder Scott Harrison about the unusual amount of support he’s gotten from the tech community, in part due to entrepreneurs like Sean Parker and Michael Birch becoming involved. We spoke to him during the F.ounders conference at the Nasdaq in New York.
charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Founded in 2006, it has helped fund over 8,000 water projects in 20 countries. When completed, those projects will serve over three million people with clean drinking water. Overall, the organization has raised over $95 million from 400,000 donors. http://www.charitywater.org
