After a year on the market, the Samsung Galaxy Mini is certainly due for a refresh.

That said, GSMArena seems to have received promotional materials and photos for the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 from an anonymous tipster. It bares a resemblance to the Galaxy Ace in many ways, with that flat home button and silver bezel.

Codenamed Jena, the Galaxy Mini 2 sports a larger 3.3-inch HVGA display, a considerable step up from its predecessor. Past that, we’re also seeing a processor upgrade in the form of an 800MHz chip along with 3GB of on-board storage.

Android 2.3 Gingerbread will be present and accounted for, as will a 3-megapixel camera and support for AT&T’s 7.2Mbps HSDPA network.

According to the materials, the mini 2 will show up “February 2012,” making an MWC launch sound pretty logical.
