Groupon.co.uk goes down – looks like other international sites affected

It would appear Groupon.co.uk has been taken down, and a number of other international sites for the group-buying offers giant. It’s not clear as to why. But right now aggregator site Buyometric says they are taking “hundreds of enquiries” about the issue.
We’re reaching out to Groupon for comment and will update this post when we get more information.
