I use formspring and never really thought about its rival ask.fm.

I think the video idea is nice and useful. I couldn’t agree more that it adds more personality to the answer if it’s being seen on video. But personally, I prefer answering questions through text. It feels more personal and formal – I mean, regardless of the questions which are mostly nonsense, but there is a feeling of being politically correct when answering questions this way.

Plus, the comments on video are mostly based on the physical aspect instead of its answer, so I think it beats the idea of answering queries.
