Hmmmm, $1million in transaction does not sound like very much! If the average transaction is of $1000 and you really charge really £1 or €1 as the site suggest, you will have earned $1,000 in 3 months. And you must have large overheads.

Yes, we are certainly expanding our currency selection. CHF should be next, USD is very interesting but will take a bit longer. Going to Africa will probably take a while for us.

Good achievement for an up-start that is just some few months old.
Peer-to-peer shd be the in-thing now for start-ups. Peer to peer barter, peer to peer payments, peer to peer education, peer to peer publishing, etc. The next internet biggest company will be that based on a peer to peer platform, offering solutions to people, industry and country problems.

The rate they offer is not the reason why TransferWise wins – their real competition (the independent high street currency exchangers) match, and in some cases beat, their rate – it’s the convenience. The queues outside some of the popular independent exchangers can be murder!
