    Researchers at Osaka University‘s Oshiro Lab are working on a “true 3D display”. The so-called 360-Degree Observable Fog Display makes it possible to walk around the object being shown and view it in 3D from all viewpoints – Sony’s cool stereoscopic 3D display comes to mind (we’ve covered Sony’s prototype last year.

    But this system is based on three projectors, each projecting a different picture onto a fog display. Its makers now plan to improve the technology to make it “more stable” and say that by adding projectors, they could develop a much larger 360-degree screen.
