The Acer Aspire Timeline series has always been a card-carrying member of the ultra-portable club. The latest renews their member and ups it to gold status with top-tier specs. They’re done up in a style more similar to the company’s Ethos multimedia notebooks rather than the current TimelineX models. Fine with me. These are some fine looking notebooks.

Inside are the latest computing hardware with a Core i5-2410M CPU, 4GB of RAM, 500GB 5400 RPM hard drive, Nvidia GeForce GT 540M which that will power a 13-inch LED LCD for the 3830T and a 14-inch in the 4830T. HDMI, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 3.0 round-out the connectivity options. Acer even managed to stuff a DVD drive and 9-hour battery into the slender case. The Aspire 3830T and 4830T should hit European markets this coming April for a yet to be announced price.
