See How Japan Crash Tests Their Robots

Not content to programming in the Three Rules, Japanese roboticists are now crash testing their creations using techniques learned from car tests. Take this video, for example: it shows a pair of legs being tested to see if they have enough strength to crush bone and sinew during the uprising.

In this video, a Subaru cleaning robot avoids a human – because the human was kind to it once, not because it is programmed to. The other humans it shredded.
