One of the last items on that leaked T-Mobile roadmap from way back in July has leaked. “Begonia” has made its debut, and is as expected the Cliq 2. The original Cliq was perhaps a little before its time; the Blur interface was sluggish and many useful services and shortcuts weren’t yet employed by Android. This time around things might be different.

As you can see, it has a rather unusual keyboard. I’m not sure that irregular-polygon look is really going to be a winner, but what matters is how it feels, and I’ll withhold judgment until I get my hands on it. The handset is very similar on the face side to the Defy, though it looks a little taller, the camera is relocated, and obviously it has a different finish. But I’m guessing it has similar guts. Depending on when it comes out, they might have to bump the processor to stay competitive, and CellPhone Signal speculates that it might even be an HSPA+ phone. Hey, don’t look at me, I don’t know anything.

Hopefully we’ll see it in person at CES, but I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you. I’ll definitely be reviewing this sucker, though.
