Gresso Launching iPad For The Stupidly Rich

Here’s a version of the iPad you’re not going to see at the airport vending machines. Luxury manufacturer Gresso is producing an iPad made from African Blackwood and 18k gold.

It turns out that African Blackwood is considered to be the most valuable tree in the world, which will be used to make the case. The Apple logo will be made from 18k gold, completing this example of conspicuous consumption. The iPod Gresso will be released this coming New Year’s Eve, but there’s not official word on how much it’ll cost.
